The vision for Nestiny was born out of a passion for helping people buy and sell homes in an easier and more logical way. Our mission is to revolutionize the real estate industry by offering a new, modern way to guide a home buyer through the home buying journey from start to finish.

Nestiny accomplishes this by providing a free and simple web-based experience to guide buyers through a personalized educational process to self-discover their readiness to buy a home. We help buyers choose a real estate agent to work with them to find their next home. Our Concierge services can also help them find other trusted professionals if needed to make their home buying journey remarkable.


Jody Clower Rotman, Founder and CEO

Jody is Nestiny's founder and fearless leader. As a licensed Realtor on the real estate frontlines, she experienced firsthand all the frustrating inefficiencies of the home buying process for both buyers and agents. She witnessed her clients and peers struggling with the same unnecessary challenges every single day- wasting valuable time and money. After watching that turmoil and noticing that there was no one-stop destination online available to solve this mounting problem - she decided to build a company with a big heart driven to make home buying and selling more approachable, easy and fun for all.

She believes the key is online education at the buyer's pace and convenience. Her mission empowers consumers by sharing accurate expert advice and exclusive new tools so they can discover their personal readiness to buy a home. Nestiny helps a homebuyer avoid costly mistakes to save money and time and realize their dream of homeownership in a fun, hassle-free educational experience. Jody brings unwavering leadership, vision, and over 20 years of strong expertise in the tech and consumer industries, while providing the team with limitless passion for their mission and product strategy. In her free time, she likes to binge watch TV with her hubby and exercise her creativity by writing songs, making hand-stitched jewelry, trying new recipes and cuddling her cute puppies Nola and Evie.


Janos Erdelyi, CTO

Janos Erdelyi is a multi-disciplinary systems architect who simply loves solving problems. With over 15 years of experience in IT, Janos has engaged in every aspect of the stack from virtualization, resource allocation, storage networks, databases, service layers, front-end development, load balancing, high availability and more.

Janos believes that technology is a force-multiplier and loves getting product into the hands of users to help them do more with fewer mistakes. His goal is to turn Nestiny into a destination tool to help buyers and agents navigate the home buying process with ease, clarity and satisfaction.

When Janos is not getting a monitor tan, he enjoys gardening, construction, plumbing, electrical, drawing, and enjoying the days with his wife, three children and numerous cats.


Ellen Thornhill, Client Care Champion

Ellen joined Nestiny after a career in advertising, marketing, and communications in Richmond and Atlanta. Ellen loves to look at the big picture, but understands that attention to detail is what makes the picture a reality. Having been a home buyer and a seller many times, Nestiny’s mission speaks to Ellen every day. She believes it is the better way. For Ellen, it’s not a job, it’s a calling to help revolutionize the way buyers, sellers, and agents do business in a way that works better for everyone.

Ellen graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Economics. She serves on the Board of non-profit Bridging RVA and also on the Ministry Leadership Team at her church. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and volunteering. Most of all, she loves spending time with her husband, four kids, two dogs, dad, and large extended family.


Kelsi, Success Coordinator

With an educational background in Organizational Communication and Marketing, she has experience working in the real estate world along with design/printing agencies. She implements this experience through Agent fulfillment, training and marketing but can often be found rolling up her sleeves and jumping in wherever needed. Kelsi brings an incredible work ethic and ‘get it done’ attitude while keeping the team on their toes with her fun-loving humor. She is enthusiastic to spread the word about Nestiny while helping Agents and users along the journey.

In her free time, you can find Kelsi either outdoors trail riding, fishing and exploring or in the kitchen honing her culinary skills.

Robbie, Senior UX/UI, Art Director, Front End Developer

Multi-disciplinary versatile professional who loves to help businesses succeed. With over 15 years of experience in IT, Advertising and Web & Application Development, Robbie has engaged every aspect of the process from strategy and planning, to creative, to front-end development, to networking and server side maintenance and much more.

Robbie has teamed up with Nestiny to help bring the best possible product for consumers and agents looking to change the way they do business in the home education, home buying landscape while helping bring a mobile first approach.


Ruthie, Artist and Animator

Ruthie brings a smorgasbord of visual art skills to the Nestiny team: from graphic design to animation and illustration, she keeps things looking colorful and sharp.

Originally from Tennessee, Ruthie graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.F.A. in Kinetic Imaging.

In her free time, she enjoys playing and creating video games, comics, and anything with creative flair.


Frank Rotman, Special Advisor/Angel Investor

Frank Rotman is a founding partner of QED Investors. His investments are focused on financial services and financial technology companies that are credit oriented or have data analytics foundations at their core. His portfolio of 20+ investments includes many of the emerging next-generation companies in the financial services eco-system such as Credit Karma, Prosper, Avant Credit, SoFi, GreenSky, LendUp and CAN Capital.

Frank was one of the earliest analysts hired into Capital One and spent almost 13 years there helping build many of the company’s business units and operational areas. With two decades in consumer & small business finance, Frank is widely known in the industry as a Credit Risk and Portfolio Management Expert. His responsibilities have included turning around underperforming business units, building new businesses from concept to market leadership positions, overseeing the credit performance of Capital One as a whole, and creating a Student Lending company after leaving Capital One in December 2005.

Frank graduated from the University of Virginia with degrees that included Applied Mathematics (B.S.) and Systems Engineering (M.S.).
