The vision for Nestiny was born out of a passion for helping people buy and sell homes in an easier and more logical way. Our mission is to revolutionize the real estate industry by offering a new, modern way to guide a home buyer or seller through their real estate journey from start to finish.

Nestiny accomplishes this by providing a free and simple web-based experience to guide buyers through a personalized educational process to self-discover their readiness to buy or sell a home. We help buyers and sellers choose a real estate agent to work with them to find their next home. Our Concierge services can also help them find other trusted professionals if needed to make their home buying journey remarkable.

Jody Clower Rotman

Jody Clower Rotman, Founder and CEO

Jody is Nestiny's founder and fearless leader. As a licensed Realtor on the real estate frontlines beginning in the Great Recession, she experienced firsthand all the frustrating inefficiencies of the home buying process for both buyers and agents. She witnessed her clients and peers struggling with the same unnecessary challenges every single day- wasting valuable time and money. After watching that turmoil and noticing that there was no one-stop destination online available to solve this mounting problem - she decided to build a company with a big heart driven to make home buying and selling more approachable, easy and fun for all.

She believes the key is providing online education to consumers at their pace and convenience. Her mission empowers consumers by sharing accurate expert advice and exclusive new tools to simplify the process so they can easily discover their personal readiness to buy or sell a home. Nestiny helps a homebuyer or seller avoid costly mistakes to save money and time and realize their dream of homeownership in a fun, hassle-free educational experience. Jody brings unwavering leadership, clever vision and over 20 years of strong expertise in the tech and consumer industries, while providing her team with limitless passion for their mission and product strategy and direction.

In her rare free time, she likes to binge watch TV with her hubby and exercise her creativity by writing songs, making hand-stitched jewelry, trying new recipes and unwind by researching her ancestry and by cuddling her cute puppies Nola and Evie.

Janos Erdelyi

Janos Erdelyi, CTO

Janos Erdelyi is a multi-disciplinary systems architect who simply loves solving problems. With over 15 years of experience in IT, Janos has engaged in every aspect of the stack from virtualization, resource allocation, storage networks, databases, service layers, front-end development, load balancing, high availability and more.

Janos believes that technology is a force-multiplier and loves getting product into the hands of users to help them do more with fewer mistakes. His goal is to turn Nestiny into a destination tool to help buyers and agents navigate the home buying process with ease, clarity and satisfaction.

When Janos is not getting a monitor tan, he enjoys gardening, construction, plumbing, electrical, drawing, and enjoying the days with his wife, three children and numerous cats. We are all going to his house in case of zombie apocalypse!

Jennifer Elliott

Jennifer Elliott, Success Coach

As a licensed Realtor herself, Jennifer knows the satisfaction of working for yourself, but also knows the struggles endured in trying to run your own business and put your heart into those you serve--home buyers and sellers alike. Jennifer holds a B.S. in Business Management from Liberty University where she obtained invaluable information to assist in all facets of the needs here at Nestiny for both members and agents. She also spent 11 years in the Army National Guard, where she learned many attributes that make it easy for her to assist you in harmonizing success into your daily routine.

If she can ever find free time, with 3 children (and two foster kids for a total of 5!!!), 2 sphynx cats, and a traveling military husband, she enjoys time at the beach, time with family, worship, the peace of self-reflection, making a difference, and planning for a long term goal of running a Bed and Breakfast business.


Kelly Kirkbride, Member Loyalty Maven

Since graduating from Vanderbilt University in 2008, Kelly has been making her way around the US and diversifying her skills. From Boston to Delaware to Richmond to Oakland, she has worked for numerous companies in different industries, while mostly focusing on marketing and graphic design. She enjoys creating streamlined processes and checking off to do lists, while also being creative and getting lost in Adobe Illustrator. No stranger to change, Kelly welcomes the opportunity to join Nestiny's mission of improving the home buying (and selling) experience for Members and Agents.

When Kelly steps away from her desk, she likes to send new routes on the climbing wall, spend time with her nieces and nephews, host blind wine tastings and challenge her culinary skills in the kitchen with her husband Jared.


Jen Nutter, Success Coordinator

As an all-things-real-estate junkie since childhood, Jen is fascinated with the real-estate industry overall but is especially interested in the complex role of the agent. She understands the demands and challenges agents face when cultivating leads, marketing properties, and advocating for clients. Jen seeks to help agents simplify and streamline their workflow by using Nestiny to thrive.

After earning a Master of Fine Arts degree, Jen worked as a Media Specialist and Consultant for 15 years enjoying a diverse career full of interesting creative and technical facets. For a given project, Jen works to harness optimal digital techniques and tools by researching, analyzing, and testing what will work best. Part digital designer and part detective with an eye on developing effective practices at all times, Jen will strive to guide Nestiny clients to succeed on their respective paths to success.

When she is not at Nestiny, you will find Jen with her beloved family and big, lumbering labradors at home or camping. If she can claim the quiet time, you will find her in the studio painting watercolor cards and characters for kids.


Alicia Shields, Success Coach

While trying to decide what to be when she grows up, Alicia has gained experience in an array of careers including Licensed Realtor, Paralegal, owning and operating a photography studio and most recently Bookkeeper. But her passion for real estate and helping families find their home has never waned and when she learned about Nestiny, she knew she found her new home as well.

Alicia grew up in Buffalo, NY where, weather permitting, she still visits her enormous extended family. After high school, she moved to Columbus, Ohio and earned her Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University and became a very proud Buckeye! She also fell in love and married a fellow Buckeye named Dean. Together with their two children, Ella and Sam, their chocolate lab, Colby, and cat named Cali, they spend many Saturdays watching college football. They also love roaming their new hometown of Richmond, checking out all the history, galleries, farmers markets and most importantly, food trucks!

When left unattended, Alicia can usually be found involved in something creative or holistic. She loves traveling, practicing yoga and upcycling furniture. She is beyond excited to be part of this amazing Nestiny team!


Blake Beckham, Growth Strategist

Blake joined Nestiny with 7 years of business development, sales, marketing, and consulting experience in the technology start up space. Most of his experience has been right here in RVA, helping accelerate growth at such start ups as Snag and CloudBees.

He brings an eager spirit and willingness to do whatever it takes to make things happen. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family, playing with his dog Bruno, playing golf, playing guitar/mandolin, and watching sports.


Clay Carlson, Growth Strategist

Clay brings a variety of marketing strategy experiences to the Nestiny team. With a passion for helping companies grow, Clay has worked with consumer products companies and the food and beverage industry to write business plans, manage their communications and increase their bottom lines. Previously the Director for Brand Strategy for Väsen Brewing Company and Director of Operations for Chillbo, he’s experienced with working in digital environments and nuanced industries.

When he’s not in front of his computer, Clay is out hiking with his dog and fiancé and snapping photos of Virginia’s pristine natural environment. He received his MBA in Sustainable Management from the Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco, CA.

Frank Rotman

Frank Rotman, Special Advisor/Angel Investor

Frank Rotman is a founding partner of QED Investors. His investments are focused on financial services and financial technology companies that are credit oriented or have data analytics foundations at their core. His portfolio of 20+ investments includes many of the emerging next-generation companies in the financial services eco-system such as Credit Karma, Prosper, Avant Credit, SoFi, GreenSky, LendUp and CAN Capital.

Frank was one of the earliest analysts hired into Capital One and spent almost 13 years there helping build many of the company's business units and operational areas. With two decades in consumer & small business finance, Frank is widely known in the industry as a Credit Risk and Portfolio Management Expert. His responsibilities have included turning around underperforming business units, building new businesses from concept to market leadership positions, overseeing the credit performance of Capital One as a whole, and creating a Student Lending company after leaving Capital One in December 2005.

Frank graduated from the University of Virginia with degrees that included Applied Mathematics (B.S.) and Systems Engineering (M.S.).
